"Blimey! Where did he come from?"
The
final scores have now been loaded for this years
Fantasy WRC competition.
Our 2020 Champion is Petteri L. Petteri started the rally in a reasonably distant 7th place but posted the best score of the weekend to win the competition by a whopping 380 points! Well done!
Hector R is our runner up, and Eoin Moynihan makes a late lunge and claims the final podium position.
Commiserations to the pre-rally favourite Roger B. Roger lost Neuville early on, but the fatal blow to his title aspirations were the Evans and Veiby incidents yesterday.
The Private League title was won by Michel V's Twitter WRC, although Antti L's Flying Finns were only 138 points behind after a strong Monza performance. Martin Meijome's Pé Á Chapa Racing takes the bronze.

Scores are in up to and including SS13. What drama! Gotta feel for Evans.
The Fantasy WRC Championship is also going down to the wire. Roger B still leads by 48 points over Hector R, with Roberto G a further 23 points behind.
However, there is a Finnish attack coming - and looking at the driver selections there's a strong possibility they could spoil the Spanish party.
Still lots to play for in the final 3 stages - plus the big points available in the Power Stage. It could make all the difference!
Saturday 5th December 2020 23:31:21 pm GMT
Scores have been updated up to and including SS6. With just 10 stages remaining we're still a long way from knowing who will be the Fantasy WRC Champion for 2020.
Roger B now leads by 55 points over Roberto G who has improved to second. Hector R is back in third, 62 points off the lead pace.
The chasing pack are closing in on our leaders though, with plenty more points are up for grabs. Realistically, anyone currently in the top 10 or so are in with a chance. Maybe even our 2016 champion Keith Emery?
Scores will be updated periodically throughout the rest of the weekend. Keep an eye out on this page and on Twitter.
Note - a few late
minor
amendments have altered the scores slightly
since original publication.

Lockdown does bring some benefits. Such as having a bit of extra time to tweak the website, to try and make things a little more enjoyable. I thought I'd sneak it in now, so you get a chance to give it the once over before we get going with next years competition. I hope you like it.
Site statistics tell me that 70% of you play using mobile browsers, so I've made an extra effort to try and optimize the pages so they work on your phone - although much more information is visible if you're old school and view the pages on a bigger screen. Your choice, obviously.
Anyway - check out the legends league! If you've played over multiple years you have been ranked for your overall performance (since 2015). Previous winners (top 3) are also rewarded with a Gold, Silver or Bronze star alongside their name! Who will get it this year? We'll know in a couple of days.
Anyway - blah blah. It's Monza. Let's sit back and enjoy the season finale. Although if you do find yourself with a bit of time between stages and want to give me some feedback - that's cool too. Just drop me a note via Twitter, or the contact page (link at the bottom of this page).

Scores for the opening stage of the Monza rally are in.
Roger B is currently just 20 points ahead of Hector R in the overall standings, and Roberto G is still very much within touching distance just 48 points behind Hector.
All 3 have Ogier and Neuville, but that's where the similarities end. If either Ogier and/or Neuville have a bad rally we could be looking further down the table for the 2020 champion.
Both Roger and Hector would have been watching through their fingers as Katsuta was desperately trying to get going having clipped the concrete in the opening stage. It wasn't to be his day! That certainly helps Roberto make up some ground.
So, those drivers aside, Roger has put his faith in Evans, Veiby and Fourmaux. Hector will be cheering on Tänak and Solberg, whilst Roberto is relying on Lappi, Rovanperä, Greensmith and Veiby to make up the gap to the leaders.
So much left to decide!
